The Connecticut Clean Energy Program Summary:
Each month, Connecticut electric utility customers invest a few extra cents towards a brighter energy future - one less dependent on foreign oil, and based instead on clean and renewable energy. The “Connecticut Clean Energy Fund” (CCEF), formed in 2000, is used to support a wide range of innovative programs and educational activities for residents, communities, and businesses.

Solar systems must include at least a five-year, all-inclusive warranty. Eligible solar systems should be sized to produce no more than 100% of the historical or expected (if new construction) amount of electricity consumed at a system's site.

PV Systems
The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund offers rebates through designated participating installers for Connecticut residents, nonprofits and governmental organizations that install solar PV systems on their homes or at their facilities. PV systems (solar electric systems) are eligible for incentives paid incrementally, based on the size of the solar system installed (W PTC* rating).  The funding cap is $46,500 per project and the factors considered in calculating the rebate include: PV panel selection, inverter efficiency, system orientation and tilt, and shading on the site.  Trinity's solar professional will help you estimate your rebate using the amounts shown below:

  • $5.00 per watt(ptc rating) for the first 5 kW of solar system capacity
  • $4.30 per watt for the next 5 kW of solar system capacity

* PTC is the acronym for PVUSA Test Conditions.
