Does the electricity generated by our solar power system work differently?

No. You won't notice the difference. The electricity generated by your system is connected seamlessly into your facility’s existing electrical panel, and even flows out onto the utility grid when your system generates more than your workforce uses.

Will we still need our utility?

Yes, typically. Remember, solar works when the sun is out. So that's when your system will generate electricity, during the peak hours of demand. But your utility will continue to supply your business’ electricity at night, and at other times when you're using more electricity than you are generating.

What happens during black-outs or brown-outs?

Any solar system without battery backup is required by law to shut down until utility power is restored. Trinity Solar systems automate this process for your convenience.

Will our system work when it is cloudy?

Solar technology requires sunlight to produce electricity. However, even through the clouds, your system can still generate 50-70% of its “full-sun” output under bright overcast conditions.

What happens at night?

Your local utility will continue to supply your company’s electric needs during hours of darkness. You will even be able to draw from an electricity credited to your account from the excesses generated during the day.
